eBay to Sell Rent.com Website To Primedia
eBay is selling off one of its properties as the online retailer continues to focus on building its mobile commerce platform. Primedia, a renter resource for apartment and rental home information and listings, is buying Rent.com. eBay Inc. has entered into an agreement to divest Rent.com because it had limited synergies with our core businesses as we’re focusing on enabling commerce for buyers and sellers globally through platforms and technology. eBay’s Raji Arasu Named a “Woman of Influence” for 2011. Raji Arasu, Vice President of Technology for eBay, has been named to the prestigious Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal 2011 Women of Influence list.
